Welcome to Reclamation. Enjoy your stay. This is a prototype with several known bugs. We don't recommend closing the browser mid-session. Despite all this, it's playable, and (imho) quite fun (though we make no guarantees it's winnable).

You play as a disgraced knight fighting to reclaim their honor after being cast out for daring to equip the cursed jewels. You will go out and fight goblins and 'honorable' knights as you progress all the way back to the king's castle.

Reclamation is an idle-rpg made in 2 weeks for the Game A Month game jam. It was made by Flamebeard, and namenotfound822.

A million thanks to Pixel Frog, and shikashipx for their incredible free assets. This project couldn't have been done without them.

Items in the inventory can be moved by left-click-dragging.

--- Lore ---

In a world where strength belies strength, a young boy was born. Not to a wealthy noble or a hardworking blacksmith. But to a mother unknown, and left to the orphanages to try his luck at life. He had nothing, but that only taught him to use his meager possessions to their fullest. In due time, the boy grew up and joined the world with a single powerful desire. To join the Knights of the Order.

Why? That is quite simple.

For the knights are powerful and respected. They defend the kingdom with an iron fist from the Kulk-Ash hordes who endlessly threaten the kingdom. Their swords are mighty, and their power unwavering. What else would a young boy aspire to?

Why wouldn't anyone want to join the Knights of the Order?

So the boy applied and got accepted! He was given a weapon. He was given armor. He was taught to fight. Then he was sent to battle with his brothers and sisters in arms.

For the first time in his young life, the boy no longer had nothing.

But the kingdom was losing the war. The Kulk-Ash hordes were endless, and with every passing day more of the boy's friends fell in combat. He tried his hardest, fighting like a man possessed to keep his newfound home safe. But even the best effort of a boy turned man cannot rival the Will of Kulk-Ash-Bahr.

The young boy-turned-man did not give up, however. He reached deep into his past. To the time when he lived on scraps. If the skills and armor of the Knights was not enough to push back the Horde. Then perhaps combining the Knightly skills with those of the Horde would work.

He set on his task with fervor, and the initial tests were favorable. Skill after skill, he ripped out of the hearts of his enemies and made them his own. With excitement in his eyes, he returned to the royal court to show his brethren his discovery.

Foul. They said. Dishonorable. They said. Traitor. They said.

It works! the man-turned-boy responded, but his cries fell on deaf ears. The Knights of the Order would not let his heathen ideas sully the Order. They stripped him of his rank. Of his skills and powers. And then they tossed him over the border to die at the hands of the goblins.

But innovation cannot be stopped so easily. The boy stood up from where he was dropped and turned right around. Toward the foul goblins. Toward the corrupt king. So that he could reclaim all they had taken from him.

And more.

So much more.
